Planting Rhubarb In The Vegetable Garden

We planted rhubarb in our vegetable garden. We had to get the bed ready by raking it and we added manure to the compost to help our stalks grow big and strong! We enjoyed planting our crop and can we can't wait to harvest it to make some lovely jam and tarts! Yum! Yum!

Tesco Farm To Fork Visit

Both Mrs McCartney's and Mrs Conville's Primary 4/5 classes enjoyed a trip to Tesco Magherafelt. We learned lots of interesting things about different produce and the country it comes from, we even got to sample some! We also had a great time working in the bakery and on the checkout!

Fun With Tens And Units In P4!

PRIMARY FOUR'S ROAD SAFETY WALK

As part of our instructional writing for this term primary four decided upon the best instructions for how to make chocolate apples for Halloween. We had lots of fun following our instructions to make them. Yum!
Congratulations to Caleb who was awarded the kindness cup for KS1 for October. Well done Caleb!

HALLOWEEN FUN IN ST MARY'S

Well done to Caleb who worked very hard to send 9 shoeboxes to children in the third world for Christmas!
Our Class have worked very hard this week and as a result we have won both the eco-cup and class of the week. Well done primary 4!

Both Mrs McCartney and Mrs Conville's classes went on a joint bug hunt to look for mini-beasts for our topic this term. We enjoyed exploring the school garden and Susan's trail in our search and we found lot's of interesting mini-beasts which we observed closely in their natural habitat. We had lots of fun!
