LOOK AT OUR WORK
Two weeks before Easter Stéphanie Baine, the Landscape Officer with Sperrins Gateway Landscape Partnership, came into our classroom to help us set up the wormery. Last year she had told the children all about worms, and again this year she did further work on worm habitats and biological make up. The children enjoyed learning about worms and being involved in the setting up of their own wormery in the school garden. They will continue to monitor what is happening with the worms and will learn how to use the compost produced by the worms, and how valuable it is to the growth of their plants.
This week also Primary 2 children in both Miss Quinn's room and Mrs Devlin's room planted onions in the school garden.
The Primary 3 children took turns to water their leek seedlings.
