Celebration of First Penance

Wednesday 2nd of March was a very special day for all of us in Primary Four. We received the Sacrament of Penance for the first time.

Father Madden came to help us make our First Confession. Miss Murray played the guitar and we sang 'Connected' and 'I'm Sorry God'. Some children read the story of the 'Good Shepherd'.

While we were going to Confession, Mrs Devlin and the school music club played beautiful music.

We had  a wonderful night and each of us were presented with a certificate by Father Madden.

Finding out about Children's Rights In P4/5

We have been finding out about the United Nations Convention of The Rights Of The Child , because we are becoming a Rights Respecting School. We have been working on making a classroom charter. We worked in groups to decide on the most important articles for our charter. We had great fun deciding, with our diamond card activity and we also learned a lot about our rights and responsibilities.

Investigating Minbeasts in the World Around Us

On Friday 25th of September we went on a 'bug' hunt in our school grounds . We worked in groups and recorded our findings .What a lot of Minbeasts we found! - millipedes, spiders, worms, beetles and even a beautiful butterfly!. We used magnifying glasses and bug boxes to collect and observe our bugs. Then we released them carefully back into their habitat
